A marriage built to hold the weight of a whole life.
Premarital counseling in Spring Hill, Tennessee — in person, for engaged and seriously-dating couples who want to build a marriage that can hold the weight of a whole life.
The work is Scripture-grounded and evidence-based. I use two of the most researched premarital assessments in the field — Prepare/Enrich and SYMBIS — as the structure for our conversations, so we're not just discussing marriage in the abstract but looking at your specific relationship in high resolution.
Two of the most-researched premarital tools in the field, combined with a covenantal vision of marriage from Scripture.
Prepare/Enrich Assessment
Each of you takes a comprehensive online inventory before we meet — communication, conflict, finances, family of origin, expectations, roles, spiritual life. The results become the roadmap for our sessions.
SYMBIS Framework
Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts — a research-backed program by Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott. We use it to work through personality dynamics, love styles, and the hidden scripts every couple brings into a marriage.
Sessions
Most couples do 4–6 sessions in person in Spring Hill. Pacing flexes to your calendar and to what surfaces in the assessments. I don't run a factory — every couple gets the room they need.
Grounded in Scripture
This is Christian premarital counseling. Assessments give us structure; the covenantal vision of marriage in Scripture gives us the target. Both matter.
Who this is for
Engaged couples with a date set, and seriously-dating couples discerning marriage. Both partners need to be genuinely willing — this isn't a checkbox exercise for someone else's approval.
Where
Spring Hill, Tennessee — in person only.
Investment
I don't publish pricing up front. Every couple's situation is different, and I'd rather have a short conversation than post a number that doesn't fit yours. Reach out and we'll talk.
Start the conversation.
Tell me a little about you and your fiancé(e) — how you met, roughly when you're getting married, and what you're hoping premarital counseling does for you. I'll write back within a couple of days.
Premarital counseling with Blake M. Jones is pastoral counseling from a certified facilitator — it is not licensed clinical mental-health treatment. Couples facing active abuse, addiction, or a mental-health crisis are referred to licensed clinicians and, where relevant, to 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 911.
