My notepad for writing, teaching, counseling, thoughts, mysteries, confusion, wrestling, and more.
I'm Blake McKenzie Jones. This is my little corner of the internet where my Substack, teachings, counseling, speaking, etc. all live. It all holds the same tension: healthy, doctrinally-sound Christianity and a life genuinely open to the work of the Holy Spirit.

The Substack, the pulpit, the premarital room, and the gathering.
What God is doing in my life, and my thoughts on what's going on in the Body.
Ponderings on God, discipleship, sound doctrine, the ongoing move of the Holy Spirit, and more. All written from a candid place of wrestling, not polished rhetoric or pontification.

Discipleship. Doctrine. The power of God.
Available for pulpit fill, retreats, and classroom teaching. My anchor is the middle ground between the charismatic and doctrine-driven streams, held together rather than chosen between.

I believe there is a tension — a middle ground — within the Church that can bridge the charismatic values with sound doctrine. I don't think we're supposed to choose one or the other. However, toeing that line requires accountability, integrity, openness, and proper training and equipping.
